About Artist
It’s virtually impossible to talk about Dominique Mathurin without acknowledging her inviting smile. Her genuine personality comes across at first impression. Her praise is sincere as it reveals the presence of God in her life. In 1996, she was invited to join Full Assurance and became a lead member of the rapidly emerging quartet. After five years of performances and powerful ministry around the country and abroad, Dominique’s natural charm and charisma have opened up the doors to work on a solo project with top producers Tony Hemmings, and Harvey Marshall. Aside from singing, songwriting and producing, Dominique has appeared as an actress/extra in 2 episodes of Sheena; Female Warrior TV Series 2000-2002. Blessed with one of the greatest voices of all time and a message delivery that will captivate and inspire; Dominique understands it is the anointing that makes the difference. Her purpose is to draw you in to experience the presence of God.
Singer
Prior to her birth, her mother dreamt that she would sing. Long before she even spoke with proper articulation, Dominique began singing at the young age of 2. Today she sings as her life depends on it. “I was created to sing” says Dominique. On stage you'll notice a certain vulnerability about her as she delivers God's message. That's because her life is an illustration of Gods faithfulness. "When I am singing I die to self and let God take over, says Dominique, whatever happens next is up to Him." Through her selfless delivery, she will encourage you to find your purpose and pursue the vision that God has placed in your spirit.
Songwriter
Dominique began to land songwriting and backing vocalist gigs for various Soul and Hip Hop performers, including Bemol Telfort, a Renown Jazz Guitarist, among others. While she was known mostly as a singer who could write a nice hook to any beat, she was also developing her songwriting skills, and eventually landed a co-writing publishing deal with a major record label. She has teamed up with songwriter-producer from Mariah Carey’s Album Glitter; Philippe Pierre to co-write “Have mercy” from her soon to be released debut album. Her song “Can’t live” also from the anticipated debut album was featured in the Gospel Play ‘Skeletons in my Closet’ and also won Urban Gospel Songwriting Contest at the 27th Annual Gospel Music Association Awards.
Producer
While working with top producer Tony Hemmings who works along side Rodney Jerkins of Darkchild, has produced for Brooke Hogan, and Spiderman II Soundtrack, Dominique gives much credit to Tony for the development of her production skills. Her first project “Mission Possible” with artist/ musician Tommy made a smashing impact as the single ‘Hold on’ raved the airways and became a favorite drawing a large crowd of adoring fans to the pre release concert in Orlando 2005.
