Doug Roy’s Mother and Father noticed something unique about him, at the age of five, he was singing
And playing melodies on a small toy organ with no training, this was amazing they thought, So Mom and Dad saved their money and bought a real piano, and hired an instructor a graduate of Julliard. Doug Roy learned, classical, jazz, music composition etc. of course he played for the school, and the church choir, later on he went to college. As a performer he went on tours playing jazz and working as a studio musician always writing songs and helping other fellow musicians. In the mid 80’s he had an opportunity to join and play with the artist Curtis Mayfield, he picked up positive things about music, and life from Mayfield his friend .Doug Roy is an accomplished musician Master Degree equal, with a lifetime of playing all genres of music he is an experienced composer, from classical, jazz, soundtrack, soul, r&b, hip hop, children’s music religious etc. presently he, works with musicians, artist, song writers, , and record companies. Based out of a south Florida studio in Miami Fl. with a library of tracks from urban grooves, hip hop, jazz, R&B, techno, house, children’s' music, soundtrack you name it he's got it, if not, he can create it to fit your needs. He is able to create music that is designed for moving images, or a particular scene.
