My name is DWEN! That's brief for Dwennimenn, which is an African name that symbolizes strength, humility, and humbleness. I chose this name to represent me as artist because it represents the characteristics that a man must embrace to survive in this world and in this industry as well.
A little about me...I am a 26 yr old upcoming artist. I live in Fort. Lauderdale, Florida, but I was born in Freeport, Bahamas. I decided to start my music career 10 years ago, after witnessing a local FT. Lauderdale artist performed during a freestyle battle. It was then I discovered a way of expressing myself positively. I love making music. It's a way of expressing my life struggles, frustrations...my experiences!!! I been through it all, from arrest, hustling, being discrimanated against, losing homeboys...even love. Music allows me to reach out to people. I make music to encourage, motivate, teach, and entertain my fans. That's why my music is very diverse and I address all kinds of issues that myself and/or others go through. I guess that's why my favorite artist is 2pac!
Currently, I'm recording, marketing, promoting my music and getting my own studio up and running. I've been blessed with crazy talent to rap, entertain & produce music. I am on my journey to expose my talent and skillz to the world! I would love to make it as a rap artist and a producer, and that is my motivation to continue working hard at everything I do. I will not stop until the world knows who I am and I'm in the situation to help future upcoming artists!!!
