DYSFUNKT.......formerly "REMEDY", formed in early 2007 features Roberto Carlos(aka C-LOS)Rincon(vocals/guitar), Mike Acocella(drums), Brian Cahill(bass) & Todd Gomes(lead guitar). Their sound can best be described as a high-energy, eclectic mix of rock, funk, pop, hip-hop funk, w/a touch of Latin. Originating in Santa Rosa, CA, the band has a diverse musical background: Carlos is the former vocalist/guitarist for "The Mojo Filter," an original band, holistic in their own right, combining Latin, funk, rock/pop, soul & some reggae. Todd, Brian & Mike have worked on several projects together, most notably "Hollowbody," which had an accelerated funk-rock style. After developing a number of original songs such as "Only The Strong(Worm)," which has a distinct hip-hop & heavy-rock riff influence & "Strung Out," a more melodic alternative, that were written quite literally "in the garage," REMEDY presented their arrangements to the Sonoma County(Nor Cal)music scene. The response has equaled the excitement & novel energy four friends experienced in early 2007, that restless anticipation when you have something unique, intangible & collective!
