About Artist
ELIZA S.
Ms. Eliza Smith was born December 31, 1985 and has been singing since she was the tender age of three and performing publicly since she was 14. Music has always been her calling and without it in her life she wouldn’t be the motivated person she is today. A friend entered her into a talent show (something she would have been too shy to do herself); this was her first public exposure and there she placed third. A year later, she re-entered the same talent show and took first place and a career was now born!
The more she sung, the more she knew that singing was what she wanted to do. As life would have it, tragedy struck at age 18 when her brother was brutally murdered leaving her without her best friend and key supporter throughout her development. This unfortunate turn of events made her uncertain about continuing her career. Hard as it was, she found the motivation to continue and this time, she was doing it completely motivated and determined to make a difference.
Her devotion to the memory of her brother, led her to starting the non-profit organization “Ride Free”. With this organization, Eliza has put on 7 benefit concerts in 3 years. The money that is being raised will go toward building a skate park on the small island of Gabriola where she grew up as a child. This she feels will give the young locals a place to skate and have fun without having to go off the island and to the troubles and pit falls of big city life. She truly has a heart.
At one of the many gigs performing with her band "Midnight & Eliza", an audience member introduced her to renowned Canadian producer and musician Pat Coleman. Soon after that, natural progression did the rest and an “A” Team of Vancouver’s best session musicians were all in on the project; including Bryan Adams’ drummer Pat Stewart - It goes without saying that the results of the sessions were nothing less than good. She is currently engaged with many talented and accomplished writers and producers from around the globe to help finalize her album and industry placement efforts....
As she so eloquently states,
"Music is what it’s all about and I'm willing and able to be going for the ride wherever it takes me".
Expect more from this young, talented and promising Canadian ARTIST!!!
With her new album now in the making and her new management team securely in place, she is filled with the hope of a lot of great things ahead of her!
