From out of the dark corners of the earth they crawled, shadows in the night. and amongst the sound of the whispering wind, their haunting melodies may be heard. A new breed of music was forged, they called themselves Enkounter. A progressive madness of chaotic metal combined with Gothic passion and lust. Each song a tragic tale of life, love and vengence, delivered in a semi rock/opera performance. Truely an experienced not to be missed The young Perth band officially formed in early 2007 starting out as 3 young friends, Kristjan, Troy and Ben. The boys enjoyed creating some interesting pieces of music, with the likes of influences such as Rush, Dream Theater & Muse. Things progressed in November 2007 when classical trained, lead singer Gina joined the group whilst being 3 months pregnant. The group has since then written and performed over 20 of their original songs in venues around Perth as well as the South West. Enkounter released a special edition version of their song "the Tempest" in March 2008. The song was featured on "Kill City's", Volume 7 compilation and played throughout College radio stations across America This CD is available for purchase through Amazon.com Set to release their first EP, "Shadows" in August of 2008, Enkounter also has the view of completing their first double CD Album in early 2009. This band has the talent and dedication to truely make their mark in the International Music Scene in the very near future.
