Formed in Summer of '06, Entropy started out playing small gigs with covers of classic rock songs that everybody knows and loves. They worked their magic at Battle of the Bands '07 at Ellsworth, changing their name to 'X-Ray Cat and the Wooden Doors,' winning over bands who had already established themselves in the music world. Since then, they've changed their name back to Entropy. They've played benefit concerts and local gigs here and there in between practices, and are looking forward to rocking the party elsewhere, wherever the road may lead them.

Entropy played in the Reindeer Rock-Off in April 2009, and managed to win first place over 18 other bands from around the state, naming them the "Best Young Band in the State of Maine." They will be recording an EP soon with the help of Conniption Studios.
