F-61 is a Brooklyn based hardcore band. Originated in 1998 smashed onto the N.Y. scene like an atomic bomb. After 2 years F-61 parted ways. In 2009 the Evil Twins Evil Mike & Joe the Butcher reunited and have been playing shows throughout N.Y. including Don hills, Matchless bar, Local 269, Sullivan hall. In June F-61 recorded "Black Market Trade" a new demo of 5 songs picked from the top of the list. It has everything from punk, to metal and even an acoustic track "Stoned"

We are heavily influenced from the late 70's punk, early 80's hardcore and good metal , also you can hear how classic rock has made a big dent in our style.

Bands that have been a major influence on our sound are "Nirvana, Misfits, Creedence Clearwater, Bob Dylan, Ramones".

When asked for a category or what style F-61 falls into, i say "we don't have a category or a style, we play what we feel at the time, if we're pissed off we play an angry song, if we're happy we play an upbeat song, if we're hung over we play great.
