About Artist
I got the Fab, and makes YOU go Licious. I’m a Young 17 year old unsigned artist known as Fabulicious, a solo self producer and rapper trying to get my music heard in Australia, and if I succeed I plan to follow it up around the world. My parents originated from the Indian Ocean tropical islands of Seychelles, but mom gave birth to me in Kirkaldy, Scotland, due to my dad’s continuous studies abroad. I grew up on the tropical Islands but then moved to Australia in 2005, where I started to develop my desire for poetry through black music. My style is different from what most people are likely to hear on the radio, and I’m here to add my own “lil” spice to Hip Hop. I recently put an Album together and sent it to a former audio engineer in Tasmania, and feedback was that ‘I could make it a long way.’ but I just have to move to mainland.
I’m currently working on my 3rd mixtape/demo. I feel the previous albums from 2005 and 2006 which I distributed in school and friends was just a preparation or shall I say, a tutorial to better perfect my flow. With my first mixtape, the quality was very poor, and I was not as experienced with mixing and editing my vocals to sound at least close to professional. I was also told that I was not showing any emotion through my music, so for the second album I took these into consideration, and feedback was so much better then. So it’s with no doubt that my number 3 will be the best piece of work out of all three, seeing that it also features my own beats. This third album should consist of some ‘featurettes’ from other unsigned artist in Australia, and I will produce it myself, and hopefully with the held of the former audio engineer. Meanwhile, the only way I can get my voice heard is by performing at parties, Internet and possible gigs that come my way. I plan to submit some work in to the heads of the Falls Festival before entry deadlines close up, so I can get my music heard to a wider audience and who knows I might get promoted after that.
I grew up listening to many rap artists, but never actually took an interest in doing my own music. At 15, my friend and I were doing rap battles just for fun, and having a laugh, but after I moved to Australia, I decided to take it one step further, and today those little steps have paid off quite a bit but, I’m not there YET.
If I end up making it to that final step, I will help other unsigned artist to get to that level with me, because I really feel that if you have the talent that separates you from every other person your age, and people love it, then it should be on market for the world to see.
