FearStrike is a Quartet that hails from the bowels of Cape Town. The band started back in 2003 and by combining grunge and metal created their own unique sound. This dual 7-string guitar attack is enforced with heavy groove orientated bass melodies and pounding drum rhythms. 

Brought to life by Dax Brown (Guitar/ Vocals) and Wayne Shelver (Bass) back in 2003 the band went through a multitude of changes in the line-up to achieve their now rock solid set up which now includes skin basher Hugo Louw and with the recent inclusion of Craig Tong on Guitars the band is looking forward to a fruitful future.

Taking the influences of bands such as Nirvana, Korn, Mudvayne, Pantera and Slipknot, the band has fused various elements to create their own unique sound.

Using 2008 as a growing period the quartet set their sights on 2009 to break the silence and rock out of the basements into the ears of those who are willing.

 

Band News:

We are at present working on two new songs, the first nearing completion. We are also currently booking shoots and studio time as well as organising a whole string of gigs that will hopefully be keeping us busy from December straight through to mid 2009.
