Hidden Sun was formed in January 2007 by Steve Rios and Jesse Benedick. Both play guitar, while Steve contributes bass and percussion as well. Well over 5 years ago both band members were part of another jam band of sorts named Under Green Lights, which additionally included Ryan Hopewell on the drums. Since that time Steve has been part of many projects ranging from a spanish guitar group, the Manatee Community College Jazz Band, and he has even played the House of Blues in Los Angeles with Chadwick as their lead guitar player. Additionally, he has also done local radio work DJ-ing and even started his own production company entitled "Right on Productions," which is "The studio that comes to you." Jesse on the other hand has just returned back to Sarasota after 5 years away that included stops in Orlando and Jacksonville Beach, FL. He has also played in the Manatee Community College Jazz Band, and had a short stint in a ska band in Orlando. Jesse learned to develop his skills while playing with Pro Tools and an acoustic guitar in Jacksonville Beach. Currently Hidden Sun is being produced by Right On Productions, but would also like to bring more local musicians on board in the possible roles of singer, bass, drummer, possible saxaphone/horn section, keyboard, and anyone else with a wealth of creative ideas.
