About Band
High Altitude Blues is a duo made up of Jack Ellis & Jeff Dysinger. These two guys have been peddeling the blues for 3 years and have just completed their first CD intitled "Blues @ 7100 feet".
Jack is origionally from New York City where he first started playing the local coffee houses and bars and then took his act to Texas and finally landing in beautiful Pagosa Springs, Colorado, where he is known as "the blues man". Jack is an accomplished guitar player with a collection that any guitar player would envy. He is also a terrific slide payer & harp player and has a blues voice that is unmatched and his very own.
Jeff is a native of Tennesee, growing up in Nashville started playing piano at an early age. Growing up in the south he instantly became a fan of the blues. Living in Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, and Jacksonville, .Jeff has formed his own blues licks inspired by some of the greatest keyboard players around.
This duo has been influenced by so many artist it would be impossible to name them all, but when you hear them ,they will take you all the way from Robert Johnson right in to todays greats like BB King, and Clapton, not to mention their own blues!
We are looking forward to 2010 with the release of the new CD and hopefully pulling off some mini tours in the South West and down South. If your ever in Colorado stop in and check us out. We are the hardest working blues band in the Rockies!
