About Band
I'm The Bad Guy originally started as a "out of no where" type project. Erick asked his long time Friend, Cesar, if they wanted to form a band to play at a battle of the bands that was being held at a local high school in South Central Los Angeles. Cesar agreed and soon after that they where in search of a drummer. The guys asked another long time friend, Steven, who happen to be a drummer. Steven agreed to be part of the band. the project was almost complete. Erick was on the bass and vocals, Cesar on the guitar, and Steven on the drums. Soon there after, with the genius work of Erick, 4 songs were quickly composed. The band was on a great start, but something was still missing. More guitar riffs and solos were needed, so Erick asked a friend of his to help out in this project. The friend of his agreed, and Erick traded his bassist position for the lead guitarist of the band. Finaly the project seemed to be completed. They performed on the battle of the bands, but unfortunately did not win first place. That didn't stop the band, the only bad thing now was the Erick's friend who picked up the bass had other projects at the moment and could not devote his entire time to I'm the Bad Guy.
Thats when Rudy began to bug Erick about taking up the bass for the band. At the time Rudy was colaborating with Neblina as a back-up guitarist and as a roadie. Erick gave Rudy chance to tryout for the band. Rudy seemed very interested and passionate about the type of music that I'm the Bad Guy was creating. Soon there after, the band seem to be complete, but all of a sudden, Steven spoke with the rest of the band members to let them know that he didn't see himself playing for the band, and just like that I'm the Bad Guy was left incomplete once again. Rudy, who was going to Cal State Dominguez Hills, had a friend who was a musician from all different levels and told his band members that he would look hard for a new drummer. Rudy spoke with his college friend, Danny. Rudy pitched his musical plans to danny, who is a guitarist by heart, to tryout as the band's drummer. Danny tried out, and it was a hit. Danny blended with the band's style of music extremely fast.
From there on, I'm the Bad Guy took off! Playing a couple of local shows in L.A. They even scored a gig at the world famous Whyskey A Go Go. The band managed to sale 50 tickets without a problem. From there, the guys saw the pontential that they had, and the ability to rock the crowd, and soon looked for a recording studio to record their first demo. Thanks to Neblina, Rudy new people and had some connections from the local music scene. He talked to George, host of ETV and friend of Neblina and Rudy, who had a small recording studio and soon after that I'm the Bad Guy was in the city of Bell laying down some killer tracks!
I'm the Bad Guy is still hitting the streets hard promoting their music and playing any show that is brave enough to have this powerfull and talented band. At this moment the band is working on new songs to soon record and to remaster some of their original material. Like any band out there, I'm the Bad Guy is in search of a record label to have the right tools to expand their music all over the city of Los Angeles and the world as well.
