Independent Idols are a Milwaukee, Wisconsin based all-original power-pop and hard rock outfit featuring vocalist RYAN BERARD, guitarist TODD MICHEAL, drummer TONY MYERS, and bassist DAN MORRISSEY.  Together, Independent Idols craft hook-laden and tuneful rock-and-roll, reminiscent of acts such as Collective Soul, Foo Fighters, and Goo Goo Dolls to name a few.  Originally forming in 2000, INDEPENDENT IDOLS have honed their music into a multi-dimensional, radio-friendly yet edgy hard-rock style with two new members (Myers and Berard) contributing to the Idol's expanding sonic tapestry.  Ryan Berard's vocals soar over the band's new, harder-edged sound provided by Michael's sizzling guitar work, the rock-steady driving drums of Myers, and Morrissey's melodic bass lines.

The beauty of INDEPENDENT IDOL'S music is in the familiarity it breeds within the listener, even though all of the music is originally written and composed by the band members. Hooks and familiarity make the Idols' music easy to grasp, offering mass appeal across a wide cross section of age groups and fan's tastes.  Many fans, after hearing the Idol's music for the first time, comment that they swear they have heard the band's music before on the radio.  INDEPENDENT IDOLS are on the verge of releasing their third independent recording Spring of 2009.

From regional and local performances (Summerfest, Riversplash, Waukesha and Wisconsin State Fairs), to music showcases (SXSW, Midwest Music Convention), INDEPENDENT IDOLS have opened for national acts (Theory Of A Dead Man, Blue Oyster Cult, Chicago and others), and headlined at a variety music venues across the state and the Midwest.  The band has made local television appearances as well (Fox 6 Wake Up News, Milwaukee), and in the spring of 2004, the band licensed a song for the television program "Party of Five," which was featured on the first season box set release.

INDEPENDENT IDOLS love to write original rock music, and their hard rock originals are best experienced live. The band enjoys playing their music live, in front of an enthusiastic audience or anyone willing to lend their ears for a listen.  INDEPENDENT IDOLS deliver a complete entertainment experience, performing great rock-and-roll with an effervescent, enthusiastic and child-like energy!  These four passionate musicians are eager to share their music, and their love and dedication to rock and roll, with the rest of the world
