Chris Furr and Neil Fulcher, formerly of Choose Your Weapon(spookcity records) have started up an exciting new prospect. "Although CYW was pretty spiritual as far as lyrics were concerned, this time we are not going to hold anything back." says Furr, "We are going to speak about GOD, write about GOD, and ultimately play for GOD."  In an industry that is plagued with "marketability", drawing lyrics directly from the Bible could prove fatal to this project; only time will truly tell.  The question lies with message, the message that there is right and wrong, good and evil, death and life, slavery and freedom.  The seeming redundancy of the message and blatant simplicity of the lyrics is a refreshing change from ambiguity.  "There's no second guessing just what the songs are about."  says Phil Routszong, the band's bassist, "In a business that rewards vague offerings (lyrically), it's refreshing just to play songs that don't try to impress you with the philosophical rantings of brilliant men.  It's nice to play about absolute, non-negotiable truth."  With the band's first EP "Armor of God" due to come out Spring 2007, In Shepherds Arms is looking for long-term regional, national, and international success.
