About Artist
I was born Iva Mileusnic, on September 23rd, 1992, In Zagreb, Croatia. At the age of eight i moved to Canada and have been living here for about seven years now. Living in Croatia was difficult for my family, which is the reason they decided it was time for a fresh start. Although before the age of nine i didnt speak a word of English, surprisingly i have absolutly no accent so, many people mistaken me for being born here. I've experienced many different things at a very young age. I've experienced having almost no money (after the yugoslavian war), living in a one bedroom apartment with my brother and both of my parents. I've experienced moving to not only a new city, but a whole new Continent and all before i turned eight. I was so young that many people would say i didnt understand what anything ment at that point, but i say they're very wrong becuase kids in Europe tend to mature alot faster than in North America and I remember most of the hard times. Although now when i look back i remember not having all the things i do today, when in Croatia i would ask my parents for a toy and they'd constently tell me "we don't have money" and i know how much they hated saying those words, because now they tend to spoil my brother and I. Even through all this i was still a happy kid, always dancing and singing, i sang so much i drove everyone around me crazy. My mom told me stories about how even with a high fever i wouldnt lay in bed, instead i'd be dancing and singing. Finally around age 5 my parents somehow managed to get me into a ballet class, which i stayed in until we moved to Canada, my teacher absolutly adored me, she used to say i was as flexible as rubber. As a kid i performed alot, as I got older i lost some of the confidence. Today i love to sing, its something my best friend and i do non stop... we've talked about starting a group together, as a matter of fact she joined this website as well... so search Dina and check her out, shes amazing.
