About Artist
Unsigned? Yep.
Lookin to get signed? Nope.
I just do this stuff because I enjoy it and it keeps the creative juices flowing... much better than playing X-Box or staring blankly at a TV screen... I'd rather create something. I have no aspirations to become a recording artist or producer, and most of the songs I've written I've never even bothered recording. Of the songs I have recorded, some are just a single verse while a few are fully completed tracks, often over a Shadowville beat... others are non-vocal pieces that I've produced with my very limited equipment. Generally, the point is for me to become more familiar with my sound editing software and different mixing techniques, while also trying to improve on my vocals... which definitely need some work, and I'm never fully satisfied with them. As a result of experimenting with various vocal production techniques, some of the vocals sound a bit too processed for my liking, so this is an area where I'm always working to improve. Basically, just about everything I create musically can be categorized as experimental... audio exercises that are just part of the learning process, which is why I'm unconcerned about creating fullout songs... plus, I just get bored working on the same project, so I move on to the next thing. Take right now for example... I'm tired of writing this little blurb, so screw it...
now I'm done.
Peace
