I am an acoustic musician from North Louisiana. I have been playing and writing music for about 11 years now. I usually play 2 gigs a week, but I am currently trying to get back to playing 6 a week. I also recently started a hard rock band. We don't have a drummer or a name yet, but my bassist is f'ing awesome, and I feel really comfortable with the lead guitarist. I was raised in Bluegrass. I actually started playing fiddle for a bluegrass band when I was 8 years old. When I was 12 I decided to learn how to play the guitar, so I taught myself. I cannot read tabs, or sheet music. I play completely by ear. My music is inspired by everyone from David Allan Coe to Slipknot, but they are always written about true experiences. I think that a song written about an experience that you haven't personally been through is a waste of your time, and whoever hears it. You can't talk about what you don't know about right?
