About Artist
John Panich AKA Jp From the HP, Aka Big John Stud, aka Panich, AkA Big P, has been into making music for a long time. At the age of 11, he started playing the drums and shorty afterwards joined a band. Members included Shaun Wisnewski (Matilda), Steve Gene(????????), and Justin Hackman (Antic of BWNN) Heavily influenced by Marylin Mansom and Nirvana, they dubbed the name Insecticide. John showed superior songwriting skills at an early age, and the band wrote and recorded about 5 original songs. The young boys were too young to be rockstars, and results proved this. Egos grew out of control , and the band split in 1997, right before their first big show. John was 14 years old at the time.
It was shorty after that John met his first rapping partners Darren Teed(Guaranteed), and Mike Shortt. Darren was the troublesome gritty drunken freestyle master. Mike Shortt was a musically inclined honor student with various skills including superior beat boxing, saxophone, keys, guitar, singing, rapping, beat making and producing. Never getting two serious, the trio were known in Hazel Park very well for there collaborative freestlye perfomances, at parties, in alleys, and at school. Even old band mate Justin even helped by plugging his keyboard into the bathroom at school and accompanied John and Mikes beatboxing, while other students passed the flow around. The students loved it and they often packed the boys room at Hazel Park High School to watch the young phenoms.
All though John and Mike recorded a couple screw around songs at the ages of 16, nothing serious happened until 2003, when John(18 at the time) met Brad Gradowski. Brad had an interest in recorded rap songs and asked John to come by and record a song at his moms house. The two recorded "On The Creep" featuring Chuhue Ly, "The Crack Song" featuring Ben Hall, and "The Ben and Jake Diss". It wasn't until John and Brad showed "The Ben and Jake Diss" to Darren did the ball start rolling. Awed and inspired. Darren saw potential and wanted to make things happen. Darren and John formed the group JP and Guaranteed and began wrinting and recording their debut album entitled "The Album." The two finished up in less than seven months and released there Cd Late 2004. The album sold a little over 100 copies in the first week and things were starting to take off for the group. It was all too good until John met his first girlfriend YOKO ONO. YOKO coerced John into breaking up the group and going solo. Innocent VIRJOHN did so, and the bad blood began between John and Darren. Unable to comply with his probabtion, John found himself in Jail. "The Album" was never brought up again.
Upon his release from jail, John was abducted by aliens, and wasn't returned until like a year ago or something. Since then he has been watching X-Files, writing rhymes and making beats with Black James, Gravie, Guaranteed, $o-Low , Alias, SSFWAC, Stereo Killers, The Plague, Bread Beats. and others.
