In Loving memory of Karoline Brown.
Karl Da Silva is a Christian musician. Born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe Karl moved to Scotland 18 years ago when he was a boy and has lived in the UK ever since. His life has been one of great trials, but through it all His faith in God has held him above the waters and kept him afloat. Growing up with his two sisters and mother, life in Zimbabwe was tough, but joyous because of the blessing of family. Life without a father left an emptyness, and during his teenage years he pulled away from a life of faith and for some years the partying lifestyle of fast drinks and mind numbing substances took it's toll and he arrived at a point of despair for life itself. Disillusioned and contemplating suicide, he cried out to God, and though no flashing lights or angels were seen, step by step he began to see God's hand in his life.
Day by day he grew stronger until he decided in 2001 to dedicate his life fully to Christ, and was baptized into the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in dundee, where he continues to worship to this day, his spiritual home on this earth.
Over the years he grew in love with God more and more, and worship became a key ingredient in defining his musical direction, a journey which began in writing songs and poetry from the day he began to write, through to the days when he picked up a guitar at the age of 14.
The great turning point and the biggest difficulty he has had to face as of yet was the sudden and tragic death of his fiance, Karoline Brown, on November 29th, 2006. This experience has led him face to face with death, but this time with God by his side. A journey that has left him with a stronger conviction of God's providence in his life and a deeper commitment to glorify God's name.
This has led to the music now heard on this page. It shows a depth of character and searching for God in the midst of difficult tempestuous trials. The hope is that a song, a word, a melody, a thought will be caught by one and all that listen to this music, that read these words. Wherever you may be, may you be richly blessed.

Time stops for no one, but God is gracious and mercyfull to all, not wanting any to be lost, but for all to come to know Him and live a life to the full.
This is my song and my testimony, that through the ashes and embers of tragedy, Jesus Christ has placed His wings over me and brought me to a place where i am truly free to express myself. I've come to realize that i am nothing without God, He is my all, my rock, my redeemer, my King.
I am consumed with love, and this love could only come from God. I am richly blessed, and though i'm blind, poor, and weak, through Him who gives me strength i can say that i can see, i am rich, and i am strong....Thank you Jesus :) ' - Karl
