 Kayna was born in Mesa, AZ on March 14, 1984.  She moved to Enid, Oklahoma with her mother and brother at the age of five and attended school there until her 9^th grade year. She moved to Lawton, Oklahoma where she graduated from High School in 2003, and is studying Criminal Justice at Cameron University. 

 Kayna’s music influences started at a very young age.  As she began to explore the different genres of music, her interests grew for the artists of  Enya, Irish Folklore, Bluegrass, Celtic, Jazz, Blues and the many different sounds of country music. She found she had the ability to sing various different genres of music but found her biggest interest and genre of study in New Country.

It was in Lawton that Kayna began her country music career at the age of 17. It was then she auditioned for the Country Music Singers Association (CMSA) and became a member. It was through the help and support of the CMSA members and her mother that she developed her stage presence and singing ability. That same year Kayna won the privilege to attend a National competition held in Pigeon Forge Tennessee at the Louis Mandrell Theatre, and won numerous awards. 

Lawton, Oklahoma is where she presently resides with her husband who is a Marine, Jose Hernandez.  She is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lawton, OK.  Her interests are with herbal healing and the life style and history of the Irish and the Scottish Cultures. One of her favorite times of the year is when the family gathers together for the yearly family reunions.

 Kayna recently won the Colgate Country Showdown local competition held in Stillwater, Oklahoma and the opportunity to compete for the 2007 state title held at the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma. She is currently managed by her mother and performs at various different venues throughout Oklahoma, Texas, and Tennessee.  

Kayna began writing her own music and is working with Lakeside 23 Recording of Nashville Tennessee. She is also co-writing music with Bill Hail of Oklahoma.  Check back frequently for release date.
