Today's unique era of rock & roll hosts the latest musical collaboration of great anticipation called 'kidikarus'. Releasing their debut record, "Maritus Vir", independantly in March of 2006, the band achieves a sense of reality among a vast emotional atmosphere. The band credits their unique sound to influences such as The Mars Volta, Nirvana, and underground legend Pedro The Lion among others. "The record really shows the grittyness of life, love and war," says guitarist Dan, "...it's an honest and profound attempt to recreate such a dreadful memory..." kidikarus originally formed during the spring of 2004 in the town of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada through founding members Matthew and Shane after the end of their previous local punk band, MarshWiggle. Later adding Dan on guitar effects, the band began an in depth creation of a concept project now known as "Maritus Vir". Through several bassists filling out the fourpiece from time to time, Brian was added in March 2006 to finalize the lineup. kidikarus is complete.
