             Shannon D. Harris a.k.a. K-Nov, Da K1ng of da Streetz, and/or Kassinova to all the ladies was born February 26^th, 1986 to Paulette Harris & Carl Blackmore in the 17^th ward of Uptown Parish New Orleans, LA. K-Nov started his music career at a very young age by entering talent shows for school & social events and with the guidence of his uncle to persue this dream. He always wanted to be a singer but his uncle showed him his most inner talent and that’s being a rapper. At the tender young age of 8 years old K-Nov wrote his very first rap with his uncle and the talent progressed and K-Nov became more infatuated with becoming a famous rapper one day.

 

            K-Nov grew up on hip-hop looking up to rappers such as 2Pac, NWA, LL Cool J, Young MC, The Dayton Family, U.N.L.V., Eric B. & Rakim, and many many more! Growing up moving back & forth from New Orleans, LA, Pine Bluff, AR, and   Las Vegas , NV taught K-Nov about different genre’s of music from different coasts. So you can say his music has a Durrty Souf/Westcoast  feeling to it. K-Nov father was never in the picture and to be honest he has never seen his father’s face… all he knew is his father’s name. Growing up without a father figure took its toll on the rapper as he was introduced to and joined Westcoast Piru Bloods at the age of 14 and started smoking marijuana & dealing drugs at the same time.

 

            By the age of 15 he was selling drugs to maintain and get by in life because the birth of his son happened 3 days before his 16^th birthday! In & out of trouble with the law, failed relationship with his deranged baby mother & his own mother, and also dropping out of high school his senior year in 2004. K-Nov began using music as his diary or escape from the harsh realities of the world at the age of 16 by recording his first underground LP cd titled “Introducing…” which blew up the underground market in Pine Bluff, AR and Las Vegas, NV . He targeted personal issues through out the cd especially with songs like; “Crazy & Deranged”, “Get Crazy”, “Loosing Control”, and “Freaky Thangz”. His most remembered song is “Thingz Fall Apart” where he took shots at his absentee father, estranged mother, and other serious personal topics.

 

            Now K-Nov is 21 years old and has over 100 recorded solo songs along with over 40 songs with his group Royal Bloodline (www.myspace.com/royalbloodline702), formerly known as Lost Soulz but they changed the name due to copyright issues, and has his eye on becoming the next big thing in hip-hop. K-Nov’s style & swagger has upgraded more and more over the years and it’s only going to get better. K-Nov is everything hip-hop is missing and he’s going to fulfill that missing gap and make history in hip-hop. K-Nov is currently working on his second mixtape/demo titled “King of da Streetz Vol. 1” and his group mixtape/demo titled “King’s of Las Vegas Vol. 1” so you can only imagine what this guy has to say. K-Nov currently has a radio ready single out titled “Bob Ya Head (Like Diz)” that’s blowing up on myspace. He also have some underground hits that are blowing up the streetz and the underground mixtape circuit such as “Mean Muggin”, “I Came In da Game”, and “Beat 'Em Down, Stomp 'Em Out”. So sit back and watch as the revolution of hip-hop evolves through K-Nov because his day is coming and he will not disappoint you...
