About Band

Kobandallas is a mid Wales based band consisting of Andy Gilmore
/singer songwriter, (middle), Rich Norris/ bass, keyboard ( right) ,
Kit Cuthbertson /acoustic rhythm,( left).

They describe themselves as an originals band, "very versatile with a
'no song the same' approach to music".  Some of their tracks take on
more of a commercial feel like "Having fun in the Sun", with the view
that they could be used for advertising on television or film.  With an
eclectic mix of styles ranging from acoustic /blues / jazz / rock /
reggae /soul / indie/punk to drum and bass, anything and everything
goes.  As long as it sounds good!

They have a huge array of influences whittling it down to a long list
- Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, Guns and Roses, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC,  Rush,
Elvis,  Happy Mondays, Pete Doherty, Madness, Andrew Lloyd-Webber,
Mother Love Bone, Terence Trent-Darby, in fact, pretty much everything
that they've seen or heard or touched.

They are interested in helping raise awareness of the fundamental
change brought by supplying clean reliable water to the world, which is
why they were very keen to get involved with Oxjam/Oxfam.

Millions of faces by Andy Gilmore uses local children from Ysgol
Dólafon in Llanwrtyd and Builth Wells High School for backing vocals
(Holly Osbourne, Rebecca Stevens, Jason Compton and Tate Marsh).

Millions of Faces was first aired on BBC2 Wales, hosted by Richard
Evans, with the hope to raise money for charity with all profits from
the song being donated to Oxfam, Amnesty and War Child, with the
intention of helping people effected by war and terrorism.

Andy Gilmore, formally from the band Mostly Water, has been a
songwriter for many years, producing sound tracks to form a base to run
in conjunction with an animation series concept about time travel,
fantasy, and adventure.

They are currently working in their studio in Llanwrtyd Wells on their
new album, producing tracks such as Money Maker, and 'Dr Who Are You?’
which was inspired by the new Doctor Who series.

Rich Norris of Llandrindod Wells has been involved with music in one
form or another all his life, from local bands to international acts
inc, Catatonia, Bluetones, Alabama Three and The Mother Of All Bands;
doing everything from studio engineer to musical arrangements.

Kit Cuthbertson (Llanwrtyd Wells) has recently joined and is enjoying
the freestyle jams on his acoustic guitar. Have a listen to Kobandallas
