LiteofMine is a worship/rock band from London, Ontario, out of Summerside Community Church. The band started when their churches old youth worship team broke up. Their youth pastor asked them to lead the worship at their youth services. The band has been together for about a year, and has been leading worship at their Sunday night services since the beginning.

LiteofMine plays new and old worship songs making them their own by adding their own unique touches and youthful flavor. LiteofMine has recently started writing songs, and now has their own style of worship music. The band uses The Bible and their own life experiences in their music, and as a result, their music is a testimony to others, which is what LiteofMine is all about.

The band is made up of five guys. They all attend the same high school and have grown to be very good friends. For more on each member see the individual bios.

LiteofMine has many influences. Their biggest influence is by far God. God is always in their hearts and he is the focus of everything that the band does. Another big influence on the band is their youth pastor Dwayne Francois. He is always there to encourage them and keep them focused on God. Other bands such as Hillsong United and Article one influence the band as well. The band is also greatly influenced by their family, friends, and fans. 

The name LiteofMine comes from Matthew 5, which is a part of the Sermon on the Mount. In this particular section, Jesus is talking to many people about what disciples should be like. We as a Christian band and Christians in general need to look at our actions and need them to be a reflection of what God wants us to do. Our job as a worship band is to be a light for others shining God’s glory and goodness out through our music. Everything that the band does is not for them but for their Father in heaven. LiteofMine’s hope is that through their music and testimony it will show others what God is about and that he loves them.
