Lorne Ryder is a Mississauga born singer-songwriter with many stories left to tell.

Over the past 20 years Lorne's music has taken him across Ontario, Manitoba, Quebec as well as Nashville, Tennessee.  He has earned 3 top-ten nominations for CCMA keyboard player of the year and has been nominated for 2 Ontario Independent Music Awards. 

Lorne first started singing and songwriting in the mid-eighties with the band "First and Last," a rock band he co-founded.  The band toured for 4 years and produced 2 albums, the second being co-produced by New York born producer Bob Gallo (Ben E. King, James Brown.)  The band received airplay on University stations across Canada as well as Toronto Classic Rock station Q107.

Following his tours, Lorne received a FACTOR Album Grant in 1998.  The result was his debut solo record, the country influenced "Ice Cream and Guns."  The title track was co-written by Lorne, Naiose Sheridan (Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Rankin) and Toronto writer/producer Peter Linseman (Sarina Paris, Angelica Dicastro.)  The album was co-produced by Lorne, L. Stu Young (Guns N' Roses) and Linseman.

Recently, Lorne took time off from his solo act to do session work as well as play in various bands to work on his keyboard and harmonica skills.  He has also continued songwriting and is now back with his band working on new material and gearing up to hit the road again.
