About Band
MarshaWhite: the character
Marsha is a wood-made girl with a painted face.
A dummy, who, in an episode of the '70s Twilight Zone, once a year become a real person in flesh and blood. The questions are: how far are we real? Who are those we salute when we across the street?
When should a girl be considered an "object"?
MarshaWhite: the band
The "Marsha"-style is summarized in the definition of Clashing Power Rock: The idea is to create a powerful, impacting and technical rock, full of contrasts and special dissonances.
The band formed in November 2006. Daniel Barco, bassist, and Riccardo Giacalone, drummer, meet together with the goal of playing in a band, in order to realize a project that best satisfies .
Meanwhile the line-up changes the first 4 original songs are arranged, recorded and proposed in December 2007 in the self-released EP "Bounces". Although suffering the consequences of a lack of resources, this production already shows the character and personality of MarshaWhite.
In October 2007 Carlo Guidi is finally selected as the official and definitive guitarist and backing vocalist.
In less than a year, MarshaWhite arrange new songs and live-activity is enhanced, so the band demonstrates all its vitality and irony on stage.
In April 2008 MarshaWhite win the competition “Battle of the Bands”, at Hologram - Isso (BG), and in the same summer are finalists in the competition “Primosumille” in Gussago (BS).
Between July 2008 and January 2009 the band will proceed to arrange “Subliminal”, the new album, which will contains 10 tracks: the 4 tracks Bounces revisited and 6 pieces unpublished.
In July 2009 MarshaWhite take part to “Saphary Deluxe Summer Festival” at Circolo Arci Magnolia – Idroscalo(MI), and also play in a lot of Clubs in Milan and in the neighboring district (Barrios Cafè, Marmaja, Black Hole, The Black Crow, Circolo Arci Acropolis).
In November 2009 the new album “Subliminal” is completed and available also on web.
