Influenced by the groundbreaking alternative rock and electronica scenes of the 90s, MDP are known as the self proclaimed "musical desentiziation of an alienated generation". From the frozen wastelands of Alaska, the band is a sonic force of melodic dissonance that includes Mike Dorsett (Vocals/Synths); Jason Stevens(Guitars), and Kyle Neumeyer(Bass Guitar).

Originally concieved as a one piece electronica experiment by Mike Dorsett in 2002, the band's blend of rock and industrial began to take shape when guitarist Jason entered into the picture the following year. Soon joined by bassist Kyle, MDP released their first self produced demo in winter 2005

Recorded in the freezing basement of an abandoned house, MDPs "Beauty EP" lit a fire beneath the underground alternative rock scene. Thanks in part to their unique take on the 90s dance hit "What is Love", the band's demos quickly climbed to the top of the SoundClick.com listener charts, reaching the number one position.

After being featured on YTMND.com and numerous internet and Canadian radio stations, the band's download count reached the quarter million mark grabbing the attention of Los Angeles based Statue Records. Commercially released in 2006, "Beauty EP" is also available for free stream or download at SoundClick.com/themdp

MDPs first full length album is currently being recorded to be released independently later this year. While the band are recording thier new songs, they will be playing Alaskan venues(tba) with a lower 48 tour planned after the album's release. New material will also be heard in the upcoming Uwe Boll film "Postal", based on the best selling videogame series due in this fall/winter.
