"   Melvin C-2007 (Wi Gon Do It-Rise Of The Sun) Consciousness has cleansed the lifestyle of Melvin Tendai Chiwanza otherwise known as Jah Melo.   Some like to call him Melvin C as he calls himself.In his lyrics he speaks nothing but the truth.Hatred has since made innocent lives parish in the wilderness and that is why Creator of life sent a messenger to save the wounded souls musically name tagging him as the PRINCE OF GLORY.   Born on the 20th of March 1984 in the capital city Harare down Zimbabwe.Melvin is the first one and only son,respectively followed by the two lovely sisters Lilian Tarisai Chiwanza and Pauline Taurai Chiwanza.His life has been the odd one of them all,having spent much of his time in boarding schools the reason being that his parents wanted the best for him as the only prince of the house and because they did think he would feel lonley without people of his gender and age around to understand each other.   He attended Umvukwes School for his primary where he did realise his talent in music at the tender age of 10,then later went to Marondera High School where he met many of the rebellious people into his sort of music "I felt music at a tender age of 10 only to find myself draw some lyrics based on a fellow brethren who found school to be a waste of time.   Within my art I expressed as much positivity as I could to build back the love for school in him.I remember so well that was my first song ever I wrote,"BACK TO SCHOOL" was the title" He recorded his first single "Sibo Wangu" at Tony's Digital Production,a song in Shona dedicated to a secret admirer at that time on february 13th 2002 for the following day (valentine's day).   Unfortunately ends did not meet as he thought at some point that his musical journey was coming to an end before it had even begun.This was because his parents had told him he was due to come over to the UK for any relevant further studies.Before he left for the UK he did cut a few more tracks to submit to the national Radio Station (3FM at the time) now Power FM.   He however met other fellow Zimdancehall artists to share the musical taste as one destiny like what the ways of livity require.Because he used to vist the studios quite often,he learnt how to make advanced music and took part time Music Technology classes so to boost the talent.Besides Music,Melvin has got his fine art by him and a certificate in Business & Computing.Art was the first thing that ever approached him.At the age of 8 he could even draw his own shoes.   He was said to be the most quiet and obedient student in almost all the schools and colleges he attended.Some close mates or relatives would rather say his heart is that of his late mother,humble/kind,understanding etc.Back to the musical life,the lyrics of Bob Marley employed fitness in Melvin's heart and pouring the inspiration were Buju Banton,Shabba Ranks,Sizzla,Bounty Killer,Gregory Isaacs etc.He turned to consciousness after Buju's Inna Heights album touched him from head to toe that he even thought of writing a letter to his Management paying RESPECT.   This however did not just end there for Buju made a come back through mail,attached was the Inna Heights sticker cover with his autograph.From that moment Melvin believed there is something called CONFIDENCE. "Its like the way Buju communicates to the people is unique,he's different.He is a man of reality,nothing will ever put him down.Babilan world has tried to slash him down but his lyrical sword a ron dem down and stil him live up.I see myself as the light,the natty warrior everything should maintain a clean surface,I live to fight a battle of real life and that life is manufactured from Justice.without Justice everything is all wrong."
