MessageNMyMusc, also known as Darla Carpenter, hails from Southern California. As long as she can remember, music has been an overwhelming influence in her life. Growing up, she remembers always hearing her mother's beautiful alto voice resonating in the air. Whether at home, waiting at the bus stop or walking down the street, her mother always had a praise song or hymn on her lips. Then there were the piano lessons, flute lessons, the choirs, Brother & Sister Knight, Thomasina, and so on and so on. The seed was planted.
At the tender age of 13, MessageNMyMusic began writing songs and poems. Although, she loved to sing, it would be several years before she gained the courage to share her gift with others. At age 19, she rededicated her life to Christ and began to serve Him with all her heart. Shortly after, she began singing for the Lord.
In the years that followed many songs were birthed through her trials, tests, failures and triumphs. Her soulful, sultry delivery, soul-stirring lyrics and unique musical and vocal arrangements promise to encourage, uplift, liberate and induce change. So sit back and enjoy!
