About Artist
Hi, the name's Alex Mitchell.
I'm thirteen, born on March 17th, 1994, raised and currently living in Long Eaton, Nottingham.
Music has been my life for ... pretty much forever actually, i have an ever growing pation for guitar and am taking up keyboard. Me and my friend are thinking about starting a band but it pretty much depends if he can get his shit together.
The song i have uploaded is basically about knowing a girl/person/entity, and knowing that they can become something more than they are; being determined to discover their full potential. Sticking with them, not giving up no matter what they put you through, hence; the right thing.
Lyrics:
I worshipped you and the ground you stood on
i spat on the face of all the people you trood on
I only asked for common courtesy in return
but you girls ... well, you just dont learn
I loved you and you saw it good
I made it so obvious so that you would
Your personality is bad but i over looked
I wish I didn't but now i'm hooked
Tell me guys, did I do the right thing?
Tell me lies, and say I did the right thing
What a suprise, I didn't do the right thing
To the skies, Lord, help me do the right thing
Well if this is the right thing, the right thing is wrong
but i've been doing the wrong thing for just too long
And i'm addicted to you no matter how bad things get
even if you do terrible things to me, and that I let
Eye candy is what matters, and don't you forget it
And in the long run, yeah, i will probably regret it
But my face is a book and you probably read it
Will I continue? yeah, you said it
Tell me guys, did I do the right thing?
Tell me lies, and say I did the right thing
What a suprise, I didn't do the right thing
To the skies, Lord, help me do the right thing
But please make this easier for not just me but you.
We're arguing again, Deja Vu.
Please lord, make it stop.
I'll do anything, just make it stop.
We can't do anything but give this relationship one last try
we're going into battle, let me hear your war cry
We will tear down these bridges, if necessary; by force
my goal is for you to feel remorse
Tell me guys, did I do the right thing?
Tell me lies, and say I did the right thing
What a suprise, I think i did the right thing
To the skies, Lord, I know i did the right thing
