About Band
Hi! My name is Andrea, 24 yo, I'm a guitarist, singer and songwriter.
I've built this band on the beginning of 2010, with a friend of mine as well as a drummer, Alex.
We grown up in Italy, nearby Milan.
We don't really have a biography so far, 'cause we've just started, but we can say that half band have a nice experience so far.
So let's talk about me and Alex first....we've played in many bands (rock, blues, acoustic, cover and tribute, big bands)gigging around Italy.
We've done many contests with our previous bands, the most important one, as finalist, Sanremo Rock, on 2005.
Afterwards, on October 2007, we moved to London (UK).
Then we joined to a band called “Hero” with the label Beatroute Records (Universal). They were looking for a lead guitarist and a drummer; at first we've started to work in restaurants, we didn't have any contacts before, we've found this auditions online.
We had David Arden (Ozzy Osbourne) as a manager.
So we’ve been in many recording studios, based in U.K., U.S.A. and Malta and we’ve worked with several well-know producers.
Gavin Monaghan (the Editors) on December 2007 ande Ian Grimble from May to July 2008(Travis, Texas, the Manic Street Preachers, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Elton John, the Clash, David Gray).
We’ve been rehearsing (plus recording on and off) during whole 2008 at Sensible Studios in London, working with Jon Moon (Duffy, Amy Winehouse, Bryan Adams, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Sting, Tina Turner, Van Morrison, Whitney Houston, Avril Lavigne, The Beach Boys, Billy Ocean, Dream Theatre, Jamelia, Kings of Leon, Massive Attack, Page & Plant, Paul Young, Placebo, Ray Charles, Run DMC) and there, I had the chance to playing and recording with the session drummer Jeff Allen (Bonnie Tyler, Frank Zappa, Chuck Berry ,Van Morrison).
That doesn’t absolutely means that we are at the same level of the artists above, we're still modest musicians, professional, obviously looking forward to work again and again in the music, but always willing to enjoy it.
It is just to mention the experiences that we had, what we’ve done and those who we’ve worked with; thinks that a biography needs.
We’ve been filming a professional music video for the song “for you” by Hero and after a few gigs in clubs based in London, we can also mention the supporting tour for the Stereophonics, in Europe (Hamburg,Berlin,Koln,Zurich,Munich,Paris,Luxembourg,Amsterdam,Brussels,Stockholm and Copenhagen, February and March 2008)
Afterwards, it’s been recording time between studios based in London and the island of Malta, where we’ve done a couple of gigs, included a live session and interview in a local radio (radio 101), on July 2008.
Then, a Californian Tour came up, during November and December 2008.
So we’ve played in clubs around Los Angeles and Hollywood included the “Whiskey a go go” and several important venues on Sunset Boulevard as well as nearby the pacific coast.
Short recording time there too, at MT studios (Hollywood) plus rehearsing at S.I.R. studios (L.A.).
Due to some problems, didn't depend on us, the "Hero" disbanded on 2009, so me and Alex built a new band, called Mr Jekyll, with our friends Andrea (vocalist) and Max (Bass).
We've got just a demo for now, including two tracks, "My time again" and "Sometimes I know", and obviously we are unsigned now....so we really hope to HAVE a nice biography in the future, as Mr Jekyll.
