About Artist
I am a writer of songs who loves the challenge of creating new material from the things I see and hear in everyday life, and thoughts, feelings, questions, answers and opinions. I rap, sing, record and perform my own music yet I am not yet a prolific producer. I would love to be able to play an instrument since my strength is in language and vocals. I have been writing and recording for 10 years now and have managed to get a lot of positive reviews and perform my songs in front of small audiences. I feel that my approach and content and type of music has a big place within the world music scene as it has new and different sound to what i feel is out there and hope I can get signed soon. I am learning to play acoustic guitar, and have just completed a Music Tech course at my local Doncaster Studio and Radio station SINE fm and am starting a Radio Production/ Broadcasting course soon which i hope will get me in a position to expose my music and other aspiring unsigned artists. I also have a song currently on I-TUNES titled 'Love is all around me' which is totally unauthodox due to its structure and content and delivery so please feel free to listen to it. My topics are a bit serious at times yet delivered in a light hearted manner as to keep you from falling asleep and the language is interesting so keep your thesaurus near for those with limited grammar. Just kidding. I still have much more to explore and bring so if there are record labels looking for an artist who believes in what they do yet are humble enough to learn, please get in touch coz the music industry needs people like myself to be heard.
I am working on a track at the moment that has to do with 'KNIFE CRIME' and am just about to record it as i have written it already. I feel my talents are not only for entertainment but also to speak out about the crime that keeps popping up on the news everyday.
I was born in Africa as you may figure in one or two songs, Zimbabwe to be precise and have been in the Uk for 14 years now, I have been in local South schools teaching Rap as a positive self esteem enhancing fun medium for young people to express themselves through and find so much satisfaction in the material they create. My influences range from Soul, Jazz, Rumba, Old school rap, KRS ONE, RAKIM, EPMD, DAS EFX, LL COOL J, NAS, JAY Z, KANYE WEST, BIGGIE, TU PAC, BIG PUN, BIG L, DOUG E FRESH, CRAIG MACK, REDMAN, WU TANG, and more, to Isaac Hayes, BILLY HALLIDAY, OTIS REDDING, AL GREEN, MOTOWN CLASSICS, PERCY SLEDGE, BILL WITHERS, JAMES BROWN, MARVIN GAYE, STEVIE WONDER, RAY CHARLES,LUTHER VANDROSS, BARRY WHITE, MICHAEL JACKSON, Lemar, Black Twang, Kano, Seal, FELA KUTI, THOMAS MAPFUMO, BRENDA FASI, BLACKSMITH MAMBAZO AND MORE. i am looking for management, a record deal and a band so I can really make the music that needs to be out there. I specialise in character play, metaphors and similes, tongue twisters and different style deliveries so have a listen and feel the Nebuchadnezzar effect.
