I am Nick Tara. I have been writing songs since a very early age. My music is not made for being hits, and being "pop," it is solely made for the satisfaction of playing music. Before you know about me, know my music.

I was in 8th grade when I started playing guitar. I am now 16 years old. I have been in the studio with rap and r&b musicians and I have played with tons of rock bands and rock players, ranging from ages younger than me to blues players in their 60s. I love music for the feeling it gives you, not for the riches and bullshit it brings you. The soul route of all this in the beginning was to feel good. For me, not a thing has changed. For most of pop culture, its a completely different world.

The bands that influence me the most are bands with soul. Bands that have feeling for their music. Some of my favorite famous artists of all time are The Beatles, The Temptations, Bob Marley & The Wailers, John Lennon, 2Pac, Frank Zappa, J. Geils Band, The Doors, Cream, Kid Rock, Santana, Led Zeppelin, Buddy Guy, Pink Floyd and many more.

Some of the older bands I have been in are: Shallow Grave, HeadCase, Irrelevant, The Power Maniacs, Electric Rose & The Flying High.

I am currently in school at MSA or Marin School of the Arts, which is a fantastic high school addition with music classes and rock band classes. At the school, I write a lot of songs with a good friend named Olaf Selland. I am also in a band called Lizard Dog including Olaf along with more fantastic musicians .
