A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, Nina Bayne has been singing since the age of seven. Like many artists, her roots began in the church. Her strong spiritual grounding has laid a solid foundation for her career. Not only does Nina sing but she also can write as well. She has the ability to write song within a moment’s notice which has put her in great demand among other artists. Nina has performed in various venues in the Virginia area including Blakely’s night club and Bryant and Stratton’s College Graduation Commencement where she has amazed those who heard her. Nina has also opened for Evelyn Champagne King and Roy Ayers at the Afram Fest in 2005. Being compared to such artists as Jill Scott and Alicia Keys, Nina definitely has a soulful sound of a rising star.
