Nu Purpose has been sharing their ministry all over the nations reaching the masses with a message of love, hope, and faith since March 2009. The members of Nu Purpose are David D. Greene and Kinderia D. Williams. Not only has Nu Purpose entered into the Music Industry but as good citizens of Morrow, Ga they are actively involved with the community by spearheading events such as the “2010/2011 Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive” for the Atlanta Mission; Where they collected a combined total of 3,000 plus canned goods with the help of the community for the community. Nu Purpose has also participated in the 2010 HIV and Atlanta AIDS Walk Awareness and 2011 Walk for Autism Speaks. It is no secret that Nu Purpose believes giving is a ministry of its own and recognizes that we all need each other to survive. Nu Purpose has found favor in the scripture Romans 8:28 which states: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose; Nu Purpose means Now Understanding Purpose. As their music journey unfolds Nu Purpose has been proud recipients of the blessings of God. All honor is given to God for blessing them with air play on different radio stations and television stations across the Nation with their hit song entitled “Falling”. February 1, 2011 they released their debut Album entitled “Nu Purpose Romans 8:28”. Being the winners of 2010 Alabama’s’ Blessed Nu Purpose was privileged to sign a recording contract with CE Records and receive national distribution with Central South Distribution. The awards that this Duo have been privileged to receive as to this date include: artist of the month three times in a row for March, April, and May 2010 on the Music that Moves you Broadcast; Announced winners of the Inferno Gospel Music Award for Song of the year for their single “Falling” and Best Group of 2011. Urban Inspirational Awards has named Nu Purpose 2011 Rhythm and Praise Artist of the Year, Winners of Chesapeake Virginia’s 2011 Blue Mic Award for Group of the Year and Winner of the 2011 Gospel Choice Awards for Best Duo. Recently Nu Purpose has received 2012 Rhythm and Praise Artist of the Year in the Crunk for Christ Awards and have received yet another nomination for 2012 Gospel Choice Awards.
