About Artist
Making its debut in 2001, OFFRAMP, is a collection of music sonically reminiscent of classic and progressive rock with some ambient or "new age" stylings. Difficult to categorize into one format, OFFRAMP's music is a textured amalgam of various influences including everything from Rush, Kansas, Yes, the Allman Brothers, and Pink Floyd to Vangelis, early Pat Metheny, and Bruce Hornsby. Although OFFRAMP's eclectic derivations reflect upon such artists, the music is unique in its own right and stands apart from contemporary rock offerings. Look for the second OFFRAMP release, Dark Matter, sometime in 2007.

OFFRAMP's musings are the doings of Chris Messina who writes all music and lyrics for OFFRAMP and is responsible for the keyboards, vocals, and infrequent percussion. OFFRAMP is affected significantly by a drummer called Andy Janowiak who, schooled at the Berklee College of Music, contributes his skills to the project and moonlights as the recording engineer (he even fronts his own dynamic prog-metal project). ---- OFFRAMP composes and records using the following: Yamaha S90 ES Synthesizer; Korg CX-3 Organ; Alesis QS7.1 Synthesizer; Kurzweil PC2X Synthesizer; Moog Samples; Gigastudio Orchestra; Cakewalk Sonar Recording Software Tama Superstar Drums Paiste Cymbals -----
