ABOUT OOOM
Originals Only Open Mike, or OOOM for short, is a Singapore Art Cafe (SAC) initiative. It is a monthly music event usually held at venues around Singapore, and is possibly the first local open mike that features only original material.
ABOUT OOOM@SAM
OOOM@SAM is a partnership between SAM (Singapore Art Museum), SAC and radio station Power 98. Promising talents will be identified each month and invited to Power 98's popular Acoustic Lounge sessions, where DJ Harry Corro chats with featured artistes who will get to perform over national radio. Also, guest mentors will be invited to OOOM@SAM to give constructive feedback to OOOMers serious on improving their craft.
FORMAT OF OOOM@SAM
OOOM@SAM will take place late each month, typically on a Wed, Thurs or Fri from 7pm-9pm. Registration for OOOM begins at 6:30pm. Participants get to perform two songs. A semi-acoustic guitar and P.A. system will be provided, courtesy of Maestro Guitars. A digital piano will also be made available. Admission is free.
