In a time when music lovers are craving singles with greater substance, Oscah brings the remedy for what has been missing. Dubbed the Minister of Soul Music for his sophisticated vocal style, Oscah delivers innovative yet straightforward lyrics and melodies reminiscent of the legendary Al Green and Stevie Wonder. Singing and songwriting only scratch the surface his list of artistic roles.  His resume also includes mixing, mastering, engineering and production contributions for independent artists such as  the Alabama native R&B/ hip-hop crooner Chad Bishop (debut album entitled Free), and Lynwood, California’s own MC Fab MAL (album entitled Coastin The Album). Each experience has set the stage to prove Oscah to be a master of the art.

While Oscah is a man of various talents, his journey began in Asheville, NC where he grew up as the oldest of 8 children. His father, uncles and friends of the family sang in a local gospel group called the Golden Tones.  Opposite from golden, misfortune hit at the age of 5 when his father went to prison. The influence from his family’s love for music helped him overcome the tragedy and pull through the numerous pitfalls of his environment.  Singing only to hear himself, and listening to vintage albums as a teen helped to craft and define the sound that would make him pick of the litter. In 2002 he graduated from Long Beach City College with certification in Commercial Music /Record Production, and made moves toward developing as an artist.

In 2004 those moves lead him to Southwestern Va. Oscah used his time to produce more songs and hone his skills, holding fast to his faith that whatever God willed for his music career would be fulfilled. In the mountains of Virginia he recorded his entire debut album, MAD SOUL LP. Now that 2007 has hit the scene so have his hit singles, Southern Comfort, the fast talking ode to a true southern woman, and I.O.U., a sincere ballad of an appreciative love.  The lyrical impact and sweetly arranged tones are just a taste of how Oscah brings the depth and true soul rare to current R&B/Soul. Through the outpour of his inner spirit, the experience of his journey, and old school inspiration wrapped into this album, MAD SOUL LP could very well mark the return of feel-good, smooth music for the soul.
