Hello, I am Paul Geathers. Originally from Orlando, florida. My father was a military man therefore we moved quite often. Later I attended and graduated Howard Academy of Monticello, florida. I can say that my influences were durning an early age of 3 with my mother and grandmothers being singers and my god mother ( miss Rosetta Thorpe ) a gospel singer who use to visit us every week . I think she must have loved me a lot since she would squeeze nearly all my breath out then throw me up into the air which would scare me half to death. She was a great inspirational and loving person and I'm so proud that she is my god mother. Earlier in school my brothers and I would try out all the different instruments and pretty much drove my music and choir teacher, Mrs Kinder and Mr. Jimmy Wilson nuts but it was not in vain because later at the age of 14 I became Mr Wilson's lead guitarist. I later joiin a group called THE PERSUADERS and did some USO shows for the military in different countries. I am also greatful to my dear friends such as Lacy Jones, who demanded that I keep practicing hard and to never give up. Jimmy Smith was also an influence on me while I was in Colorado Spring and the Pueblo area. Most of all, I must say that there are so many friends that I 've been blessed by listening to and meeting over the years such as Al Green, Carlos, and his brother George Santanna, Chubby Checker ( Skinny Checkers now) smile.... Mr. BB King the blues man himself and Roger and Zapp, Prince, James Brown, and I don't want to leave out the crooners like Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke. I attended the fellowship baptist church most of my life and began singing durning my early years with my parents and grandparents.
