About Band
Phreniac is an experimental musical project founded by Keir M Needham in the year 2000.
The pseudonym "Phreniac" is taken from merging the word "Phrenic", (of or relating to the mind or mental activity) with "Maniac" (meaning in this instance, with an adjective, an obsessive enthusiast). The two words come together to characterize "the obsessive mental activity of an enthusiastic mind".
The music itself is far-reaching and diverse and is probably best described as electronic rock. It incorporates pioneering sound editing techniques with guitars with drums and synthesizers, acoustic percussion, wind instruments and vocals (and any thing else). There are a lot of instrumentals because the message of phreniac has always been in and of the music.
Here is a small statement from Phreniac:-
"Phreniac cares about music above all else. His mission if he chooses to accept is to travel into the depths of the dark silence bringing light and sound to all listeners who are open to new and traditional forms of personal artistic expression."
