"PROFISI CULCHA" Biography

Kevin "Profisi Culcha" Miller was born in Kingston Jamaica West Indies, on November 30 1983. He spent his childhood years between uptown, Kingston and his grandparents in Tanglewood, St. Ann.

Coming from an artistically inclined, church attending family of Artiste's and Musicians, Profisi's interests has always been surrounded by creativity. He would "jam" for hours with his family's Gospel Reggae band, as they rehearsed their compositions. He even began to play music for the church (keyboard/drums/bass) and direct the youth choir. He obviously had a passion for music. In school, he would often get in trouble for playing drumbeats on the desk as he recited the latest tunes and coerced his peers into catchy original lyrics aloud.

In Fact, at the age of only 15 living in Hempstead Long Island, he began saving every dollar he earned in order to construct his very own recording studio in his bedroom. No doubt, a young entrepreneur was being shaped; Profisi did anything he had to do to earn money. From designing school murals to drawing comic book characters on t-shirts, to caricature creations for sale to fellow students, (just to name a few). It was not long before his vision became a reality and a star was being recognized.

At the age of 16, Profisi recorded, produced and package designed his very first independent L.P., "The Start of Something New". He learnt the valuable lesson in life that knowledge is power, so he decided to pursue a college Degree in Graphic Design and Visual communications. This achievements along with his drive and charismatic personality helped to shape him into the tremendous Artiste he is today.

While attending college in Miami, Profisi earned opportunities such as opening for many of Reggae's well renown talents and having his music in regular rotation on many of Miami's underground radio stations. He utilized his degree, experience and credentials to design his own video's, Ad's, CD covers and other promotional graphics. This is how he started his own production company called Rite Track Revolutions Inc. Which is now based and making it's mark in New York, producing audio and artwork for a wide range of clients from the "Big Apple".

Before long, the door opened wider to his music career, helping Profisi to develop a name on the independent reggae scene. His drive to be different and his revolutionary creativity always seem to set him aside from the rest. He now has a live band that does many shows in the NYC area, as well as play back up music for many artistes who perform there. This came as no surprise, as playing instruments with his family and the church taught him a lot. Once again, daring to be different and not afraid to let his talent shine.

The "WICKED" vibes and the "AGGRESSIVE" rhythms will surely inspire all who hear him, an experience of indelible impact that will stay with you and leave you literally writhing for more. With a work ethic comparable to none, a relentless commitment to success and a unique humble teachable attitude, there is no doubt that "Profisi Culcha" is the NEXT BIG THING in this industry. Moving full force ahead and refusing to take no for an answer, yet still ready and willing to learn from the best.
