About Band

Prospect Avenue is a band that originated in the areas surrounding Neosho, Missouri. The band is formerly known as "Saver's Project," which started out with founding members Justin Claussen and Timothy Davis in April 2010, who played lead guitar and sang with Justin. Shortly after its formation, the band added Austin Welch on rhythm guitar a few days after the formation, and Trenton Smith on drums within the next few months. The band began playing shows in October of 2010, its first show being at 12:51 Hookah Lounge. The band began to play more shows, playing with notable local names such as Touch Me Tease Me at Gusano's Pizza in Joplin, Behold the Reckoning, Sardis, and the Order of Elijah at the release show for COD: Black Ops in Vintage Stock. However, just before Christmas 2010, Timothy left the band due to considerable differences between members, leaving the band with only three members. The group began to reform new, temporarily adding bassist Rikki Ramirez and playing its first show following the adjustments to the band's lineup at Solace Music Venue alongside Lybecker, Dead American Radio, and Afterhours. The band added new members Jessica Edens on vocals with Justin, and David Hughes on lead guitar. Rikki left the band shortly after this change for conflicting interests in genre with the other members, but left with a mutual understanding with the members. This was only two weeks before a show planned in Joplin, Missour. The members rushed to find a bassist and temporarily added Zachary Kassner on bass guitar. The show went on with other performances by Touch Me Tease Me, Ambrister, and Nick Venceil. David Hughes left the band after this and the group began its search for a new lead guitarist. However, after a short period of time, the members realized that Zach had amazing talent on the guitar and switched him onto lead guitar for choice songs. The search began a search for a new bassist at once, in the meantime Zach and Austin alternated between bass and guitar, depending on the song. In April, the band auditioned and added Guy Wilkes as the bassist, making the lineup once again complete. A week later, the group played at Solace Music Venues once again alongside Looking For Yesterday, Bandit and the Hooligans, and the Skies Revolt. The band traveled as "Saver's Project" throughout the area since then, traveling to Tulsa, Oklahoma for and Acoustic festival, and doing multiple shows to benefit Joplin, Missouri following the devastating tornado the hit the town on May 22, 2011. On July 5, 2011, the members of the "Saver's Project" threw out the name Prospect Avenue as a new name for the band. The band voted on the name change and decided on a four yes, two neutral decision to change the name to Prospect Avenue. That night the group announced while playing with Touch Me Tease Me, Dead American Radio, and La Bella Charade at the Signature Room in Joplin that they would be changing their name. The group plans to announce this several times before officially removing the "Saver's Project" fan page. In August 2011, Jessica announced her departure from the group. Leaving on good terms with the members, she is now pursuing other callings in music and life. The band is now going forward with Justin only on vocals and will take their time before considering a search for a new female vocalist. The most recent addition to whom the group has performed with is Sean Michel, a blues artist most well known for his performances in season 6 of American Idol. The group is now traveling, performing, and advertising as Prospect Avenue. They have and are planning several shows for the future.
