Recoil was formed in September 2005. The band got together and started to write various original material which incorporated styles of music ranging from hardcore to other metalcore influences. Before hitting the stage in March, Recoil recorded ‘Behold the Great’ (Garage recording) which eventually was put online on myspace. This gave Recoil a positive push as it offered their audience a taste of what the band’s music was like. Recoil’s debut live show was held on March 24th at The Liquid Club in San Gwann, Malta, which launched the band in a big way with its already loyal fans. Recoil than shared stages with other Local Maltese talents throughout the rest of the year.

Recoil is currently working on new material in anticipation of future live gigs. The band is also about to launch their first upcoming EP ‘The Great Divide’. The CD is to be launched later on this Year
