About Artist
I was born in Belfast in the middle of sectarian madness and after 21 years
i moved to The Netherlands to live in peace. I will not fill the page with all
the musical ventures i have been involved in down through the years and
just keep you informed about the present and the future. I was young when
i first started the voyage into music and i became frustrated playing music
in large groups of musicians. I think some artists function better in numbers
and others are content to go it alone but i guess that's the beauty of music.
I listen to many composers, artists and producers: Hans Zimmer, Jeff Mills,
Frederic Chopin, Chet Baker, Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, Dave Angel,
Chris Cowie and a number of producers from the late 80's to the mid 90's
when the underground was alive. So i guess my influences are derived from
the sum of all the people above but there are too many to list here. I like to
keep my tracks simple and gritty as i don't like that over loud too clean
dynamic-less sound that seems to be in at the moment.
My music has elements of Jazz, House, Techno and basically all things
electronic and my sound is sample based but i do use some synth's when
i feel they are needed. My samples come from any source that i can find
and that is the pleasure of using a sampler, a musical instrument in its own
right. I am personally not trying to create a " new " type of electronic music
or push the boundaries in the dance music scene. I create music because
its in me and i just don't feel normal if i am not producing or creating, it's too
hard to explain in words.
