About Band
The band got together for the first time in November 2005 when they took part in a Beatles tribute gig set to perform the classic Day Tripper. The unanimous call for an encore (the only one of the 15+ bands that took part) saw a roaring performance of A Hard Day's Night and set the standard and starting point for Riptide.
From then on Riptide have become hot property. Now the band take part in organised charity events, festivals, their own local gigs and functions including weddings, birthday parties and other events.
Their hard working, but light hearted attitude towards music and an ability to provide their adoring audiences with the songs they want to hear as well as introducing their own songs (a blend of pop rock and blues) is what makes them an exciting live act and great prospect for the future.
