RUSHING WITH APATHY ARE A BOURNEMOUTH BASED UNSIGNED ALTERNATIVE ROCK BAND INSPIRED BY BANDS SUCH AS MUSE, THE SMASHING PUMPKINS, GUNS N' ROSES AND AT THE DRIVE-IN.

Rushing With Apathy are a completely original fusion of rock, grunge and funk. Massively epic, heart-felt and always emotionally and aggressively charged. Our musical offerings span a number of genres and styles from early Radiohead to At the Drive-In.
Since forming in 2004, we have played an ever increasing number of gigs across the Bournemouth area. We recently won two local heats of the Undiscovered 2007 Battle of the Bands competition which has been held in O'Neill's pubs across England, Wales and Scotland. As a result we will be representing the Bournemouth and Poole area in the regional finals held in Cardiff on 26th July 2007. The winner will then go through to the final at Carling Academy in London hosted by Colin Murray of Radio 1.
Other venues we have played at include The Inferno, The Old Firestation, The Litten Tree, The Central, Mr. C's and The Opera House. We also supported the renowned folk rock band 'Mostly Autumn' at their 2007 Convention at Oakdeane Forest Park in Ringwood.
Since forming in 2004 the band has been fronted by vocalist and guitarist, Steve who’s vocals have often been compared to the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins. The band has always been built around a powerful rhythm section formed through highly experienced and creative drumming (Tubbs) and bass playing (Dave). Influences include The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Primus, Muse and Rage Against The Machine.
Mark is the lead guitarist bringing a classic rock influence to the band such as Guns n’ Roses, Led Zeppelin and Hendrix. This shows through the technical speed and precision of his playing style, whether through lightning fast solos or brutal and intelligent guitar riffs.
As we are unsigned we do everything ourselves including all graphic design, publicity, merchandising and CD production.
