About Band
The Latin-Rock explosion began, when Santana first burst onto the music scene in the late sixties and early Seventies. While Latin Alternative music was becoming popular in the West Coast, group of talented musicians from the Bronx in New York City wanted to build upon and fuse the Caribbean roots of Afro Cuban Jazz, Rhythm and Blues and New York City Salsa. The group is called Seguida. Fania Recording Artist Seguida's music is a unique mix of funk, hip hop, rock, r&b, salsa and jazz. Latin Fusion. Seguida has shared the stage with many top acts such as Larry Harlow, Ray Barretto, Johnny Pacheco, G.Q., The Persuaders, and was the opening Act for The Fania All Stars live at Yankee Stadium “Our Latin Thing” Concert and Film. Seguida was chosen as the official Latin Band of MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL and are currently being featured on MLB.COM. Last month Americas largest concert promoters, LIVE NATION presented “The legendary pioneers of latin rock” concert starring SEGUIDA & MALO to a sell out crowd. There will be more Seguida surprises in store so stay tuned to this site! We are sure that you will enjoy Seguida..s 30 year tradition of music from the heart and soul. Latin Jazz radio stations around the world still recognize Seguida's music, and numerous compilation albums have featured Seguida's music throughout the years.
