Sevastopol brings together elements of Urban Folk/Pop, Americana, and Classic Country.  Steve Smith, Mark Walczak, Paul Sendry, Mark Peterson and Jill Guse create unique original songs that speak of common life experiences. Soulful and melodic, their songs are delivered with a positive message of hope and renewal.

Sevastopol combines acoustic and electric guitars, bass, harmonica and percussion to create a style that is passionate, rhythmic, and spirited.  Each song is distinctive in voice and tone and has a unique individual sound.  Their songs are both accessible and uplifting.

Formed in 2003, Sevastopol has performed shows at a number of Milwaukee venues, including The Waukesha Chancery, Neighbors Pub, The Bavarian Inn, The Coffee House and Borders Books and Music. Steve has performed as a solo acoustic act in many Milwaukee area cafes and coffeehouses, and recorded and released a CD of his own compositions in 2001. Mark Walczak has performed in local bands since his high school days and has released two CDs.  Paul has performed with a local rock and blues band "Lost at Sea" since the 1980’s and is currently studying American Finger-style Guitar.  Mark Peterson has played in numerous Milwaukee bands spanning 30 years, most recently in the funk band, "Pocket Change".
