SMooches everyone, my name is Shalekiah Monique. my name means "Determined to be here", and i show that in my music. i am 16 years of age and i live in east new york. i began singing at the age of nine, but began dancing and acting at the age of 4. i love to perform, and inspire people with my talents. i love to motivate and encourage people. so in my music i paint pictures and tell stories, not only about my life experiences but others that ii see and feel a certain way about. i am a junior in highschool. and love education. i feel it is very important to be educated, without education we cannot really live life. i am very blessed and happy in my life. i have wonderful family, friends, supporters and fans, who encourage me non stop and always have my back. my musical influences are brandy, alicia keys, gereld levert, diana ross , michael jackson, and janet jackson. they each painted pictures and touched lives with there music. most of all they were great humanitarians. thats what i strive to do with my music, i am ready and eager to learn and perfect my craft to its fullest!!
